Patricia Ann Stewart

Patricia “Pat” Ann Stewart, a beloved wife, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 24, 2026. Born in Stevenson, Alabama, Patricia moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, as an infant, where she was raised and built a life centered on her family. She was a woman of quiet strength who deeply loved those closest to her. Patricia was a proud graduate of Howard High School. She retired after dedicating many years of service to Olan Mills, Inc. She later pursued her passion and fulfilled her dream of becoming a licensed cosmetologist. She took great pride in helping others look and feel their best and treasured the relationships she built with her clients over the years. If Pat wasn’t at home, she was likely making her rounds at Belk, Dillard’s, or even Saks in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Martin, Sr.; her mother, Beulah Mae Martin; her sister, Emma “Nett” Martin; and her grandparents, William and Mable McCain. Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Matthew Stewart; daughter, Zenina (Santonia) Clift-Blackmon; sons, Lamone (Majorie) Stewart and LaJuan Stewart; and her treasured grandchildren, Dejuan Clift, Deontay Taylor, Briaja Stewart, Andromeda Stewart, Aurora Stewart, and Lamone V. Stewart Jr. She also leaves her great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brothers, John Henry Martin Jr., Anthony (Bernetta) Martin, Darrell Martin, Kenneth Martin Sr., Maurice (Anita) Martin, and Aaron Martin, all of Chattanooga, and Thaddeus Martin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, Sheila Patterson, Deborah “Sue” Martin, Carmelia “Renee” (Freddy) Martin, and Senta (Vincent) Dixon, all of Chattanooga, and Tomasina Crumsey of Atlanta, Georgia; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and a dear cousin, Caroline Cooper. Patricia will be remembered for her warm spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the many lives she touched. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Patricia will lie-in-state on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 12:00 noon in the Chapel with Pastor Vincent Dixon as the Eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
